Well there's an old BBC brand I wasn't expecting to be revived. Deadline is a very reliable news source before anyone asks, although is that logo they've posted a mock from here?! It can't possibly be official.

Looks like it will be full of high-brow shows that are probably harder to sell to traditional networks than their more mainstream titles but still have a reasonably sized potential audience.

It's not the first time a press department has misused a mock from here in one of their articles!

The fact that they couldn't tell that it was a mock. That is the wrong font, wrong proportions, and a colour scheme that makes the BBC Service Information clocks look normal, "Oh yeah this legit lets put in article Smile"

Not that it's a bad mock (looks very American), but so different from the normal BBC Boxes that it's stunning how they goofed this up.

actually the mock is now all over the World Wide Web. Seems like every major news site's using it.

I tried a reverse search for that image and a regular image search - came up with nothing. Would a mock posted here pop up in such a search?

It's possible they are aggerating the Deadline article - that's what popped up on Yahoo News, for example.

Although I don't think anyone here will be laying claim on that one. If it wasn't for the BBC logo though it is bad enough to pass off as real.

imdb and Variety have also used the mock, so yeah, you're likely right.

I refer you to this travesty, which is still, *inexplicably*, a thing:

It can't be real, but at the same time it all too sadly could be.

Personally, once the real logo's revealed, I doubt it'll be in a box (and it's probably either going to pink or red, because we all know that pink is for streaming and red is for entertainment/news). I would love if they went with a circular logo with yellow text on blue, but that'd be a good logo for something which might not even have idents--- but if the Deadline article is right, then Select will be on subscription services--- I wouldn't be too surprised if they gave the gold ring a fresh coat of paint.
