And I presume 6-7 will be cartoons like there normally is?
It looks like someone's bleached the Minions.

If they're basing their whole Christmas campaign around Zog and the Flying Dragons then I'd have thought it warranted a later slot than 2.35pm. I'd have it after the Queen or even after the film, bump the early evening schedule back half an hour and then as I said before I think Blankety Blank with Bradley would work later at night as an antidote to the annual misery fest that is EastEnders (and no plans for any Christmas cheer from them this year) before Mrs Brown's Boys, just stretching out primetime an extra half hour.

I'm guessing ITV is basically The Chase, Emmerdale, Corrie and BGT then, with probably another hour to fill. Would usually be POGDOGs.

7.00am Good Morning Britain
9.00am Lorraine
10.00am This Morning
12.30pm James Martin's Christmas Day
3.00pm The Queen
3.15pm (TBA)
4.15pm (TBA)
5.00pm The Chase : Celebrity Christmas Special
 6.00pm Emmerdale
7.00pm Britain's Got Talent at Christmas
8.00pm Coronation Street
9.00pm Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire

I believe this schedule is a prediction.

Also worth mentioning that Paddington 2 airs on Xmas Eve 4.25-6.05, with the first from 5.30-7.30 on different channels. One of them will move, I’d guess the first one goes off to the 23rd and is replaced with home alone.

2 and a half hours of James Martin??
Is he cooking a turkey in real time??!

Didn't Gordon Ramsey do that in his live Christmas Day special on Channel 4 a few years ago?

Yes. Gordon Ramsey's Cookalong Live. IIRC it was broadcast from his home between something like 11am - 1pm.
It was an extension of his C4 series that went out during the autumn.

Although, there was a lot of Channel 4 cookery VT filler material during the 'put in the oven and leave for 15 minutes' slots (rather like Saturday Kitchen) so was difficult to tell if it was genuinely live, or recorded a couple of days before 'as live' at the same time as tx.

As a TV event, it was interesting, but surely you wouldn't watch it for Christmas lunch cookery tips or ideas, as it was going out at the same time as you would be cooking the lunch, so the target audience would not have the shows full and undevided attention.

The Wheel did very well last night so I think it may stay in the schedules for Xmas day.

I wonder what the other channels have planned ident wise and trailer wise? I wouldn't be surprised if Channel 5 recycles last year's Christmas idents as they were very good.

ITV will continue with their Christmas presentation style introduced with the new weekly ident package I assume. Channel 4 will simply reuse their previous Christmas idents as will Channel 5, as the saying goes, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Huh?

Happy New Year! (1x10') was commissioned by Charlotte Moore, Chief Content Officer and produced by BBC Studios for BBC One. The Creative Director is Claire Popplewell and the Directors are Julia Knowles and Bridget Caldwell .

It's going taking 2 people to direct one 10 minute ob?
Are they taking it in turns to slow fade from one angle of the Elizabeth Tower at HoP to another angle?

Considering we have no proper idea what is going to happen in the programme, it’s possible that there will be two directors in different trucks/galleries in different places?
