Thanks, I’m glad you’re enjoying them. To be honest, I’d be happy for others to put them on YouTube. I’m not precious about them and I just don’t have the time myself. So if anyone wants to do it please feel free with my blessing. I’d rather they were enjoyed than just sit on an old hard drive gathering dust.

That's very good of you. I've started to upload these to the TV Live YouTube channel with full credit to you (and a link back to TVF).

Thanks for sharing these videos by the way, some absolute gems in these recordings. Smile

I would have recorded it, but the USB stick I use to record from my satellite receiver is currently being used by a friend!

Thanks Asa.

All I can say is WOW to the power of the internet these days. That clip was sat on my hard drive on Saturday and was played out on national breakfast TV on Monday! Incredible!

Of course it's not the first time this year TVF has had an influence to what appears on GMB:

That really is so cool my regret was not buying a satellite box with a recorder of course back in the days, nowadays you can get boxes and stick a usb drive in.

An excellent collection. Thank you for sharing this Robert. I think you've got clips from some eras as well that TVArk don't have!

Nice to see the old Queen Margaret Drive newsroom again - any idea why Reporting Scotland might have been on Two that day?

Alas, I couldn't remember off the top of my head, but BBC Genome has been quite helpful. It seems I recorded this on 6th June 2002 and as there was a World Cup match on BBC1 (France v. Uraguay) the lunchtime news was shunted over to BBC2. Having DSAT, I was more excited by this than the football match and frantically recorded Reporting Scotland as I could see it with it being on BBC2!

The BBC Newsline clip in my archive I think was from summer 2001 when the regional news was kicked over to BBC2 due to Wimbledon.

I used to take any opportunity I got to see a regional news programme other than North West Tonight!

By the way, the guy who walks behind Adrian Finighan in this clip is me!

I was a guest at BBC World that evening and was watching the bulletin from the gallery in N9. I timed a walk to the water cooler so I would appear on BBC World TV! I'm such a saddo! Very Happy
