Remember CNN International programming doesn't have a ticker anyway, only the US channel has one.
Prior to Covid they definitely did have their own ticker which was particularly used on simulcast programming and occasionally on others. For instance on the hour of New Day before CNN Newsroom, international audiences would see CNN. Com headlines and weather for international cities while US viewers saw weather for US cities and more US content.

Yes, that is right. They used a flipper on New Day and simulcasts to hide some of the US things.
On International produced programmes they didn't regularly have a ticker or flipper. (Only exceptions were YWT and the red 'breaking news' flipper sometimes.)
I've been watching some old CNN videos from late 2000s and was reminded how great Larry King Live theme and open were. Here's to some better CNN days long gone by.....
You can hear more of the cuts here. The theme was done by Nonstop Music.
I was never a huge fan of Larry King, though I suppose I somewhat miss his show's format. He had a way of pulling in big interviews and broadened CNN's overall appeal to a larger audience. Piers Morgan never quite took, and now the hour with Don Lemon is the usual shoutfest like every other hour.
I'm a Larry King fan. Always reminds me of high school days and watching the show at 11.00 CET and enjoying his celeb interviews. It was a staple. The shocking way they dumped him for Morgan still so wrong. Not to mention what a terrible switch it was to go from Larry's to Piers' style of interviews. It was just not the same and viewers, me included, tuned out.
Plus CNNI shoved Morgan down our throats with 3 slots every day including European primetime. The travesty!
