You can't blame Duncan, remember they never meet, one is always out on location. You can't catch germs through a screen.

I wonder if this practice is going to continue throughout the winter, or if we'll ever see Duncan & Christine at the desk together ? I suppose not, I'm sure there will be plenty of OB's for Halloween, Bonfire Night and in the build up to Christmas.

That was interesting. BBC Yorkshire were just treat to a full showing of the Skateboarders ident. They seemed to opt out at 45 seconds to ten. They played out the usual 'This is BBC ONE in Yorkshire and the North Midlands, now the news at 10 O'Clock with Huw Edwards and Charlotte Leeming' announcement and the music continued until the ident ended and froze. At about 10 to instead of staying longer with the frozen ident they opted back in to the 'Now the news on BBC ONE with Huw Edwards and Jules Botfield' announcement!

Did the same happen on the Hull version?

looks like they opted out after the first page of the greater manchester police statement.

out of interest are bbc north currently going through a phase where by skaters are appearing on a far more regular basis than acrobats?

bbc mids are going through a skaters fad, and whilst they havent matched bbc north's 30sec, they did show an extended version not so long ago

I haven't seen Acrobats on BBC Y&L for ages, it seems to Skateboarders all the time thesedays. Since it launched it quickly phased in to every junction. Hull seem to use Tai-Chi a lot

Interesting, though isn't Harry Gration getting a bit old to start doing a contemporary standing up style bulletin!

like i said earlier, East Mildnads never use Skateboarders - maybe they don;t have it. It's always bloody acrobats.

Yes but Germs/ Bacteria stay within the atomspher i.e the Calendar Newsroom/Studio etc.

Calendar told me a while back that the OBs would continue through the winter months.

I was very happy to see Karen Petch doing the GMTV bulletins this morning. Very Happy

Yellow and gold? Have the restrictions on the regional corporate look been released that much or are you just having us on? Can you give us some source details?

Sounds to me as if they're just going back to how it used to look, the walls used to be yellowy / gold until the china red paint became available up north.
