Nope! Bill and Sian dont present on News 24 other than the Weekend Breakfast bulletins. Sian has done quite a few Weekend's recently on BBC, but that's about it.
I will be very interested to see Dermot on the Six, though I wouldn't hold my breath about him taking the lead role.
I am wondering if the Beeb have any plans for Kaplinsky to cross over to BBC One bulletins? Perhaps a bank holiday here and there?
I don't like it when Sophie takes the lead role - it just doesn't feel right, she feels too lightweight. It seems silly for her to read the important headlines, and then to have an incredibly experienced journalist and reporter like Bill standing by the big screen telling us about the "fluffy" stories coming up later in the bulletin.
IMHO it is not enough justification that she is the "regular" presenter - she may be the regular co-anchor, but that shouldn't automatically propel her into the anchor's role whenever the usual anchor is away.
As for Kaplinsky, I wouldn't hold your breath - I'm not sure she's got the necessary gravity for the BBC1 bulletins. I do think she's excellent on Breakfast though, and I even think that she and Dermot are beginning to display some on-screen chemistry for the first time.

Just a general question - do people like Bill & Sian still do some work on News 24 - I can't get the channel, so I don't often see it.
And I'm looking forward to seeing Bill back on the 6 tonight - IMHO he's far better than George Alagiah. There's so much more chemistry between Bill and Sophie than with George.
