All Freeview channels from 24 to 54 will move down one place from November 4th. For example, ITV4 will move to Channel 25 and 5Select will move to 55. In Scotland, BBC Four will move from 55 to 24, and STV+1 will move to 34.
In Northern Ireland TG4, RTE One and RTE2 will move from 51-53 to 52-54.
In England, Wales and the Border areas, ITV+1 will move from 33 to 34.
It seems particularly absurd to me when CCXTV is still squatting on 23, months after launch with no sign of being sold on. And all this to facilitate moving a channel that, in all likelihood, won't survive the next wave of BBC cuts?
Ridiculous move basically to accommodate That's TV Scotland and the two BBC channels in Scotland. A shame a couple of obvious moves haven't been done to keep some key channels in place - ITV+1 on 33 by moving ITV2+1 to 34 instead of 28 (and keeps 28-33 in place) and 4Seven on 47 by agreeing with Sky to keep Challenge on 46 and instead move Film4+1 to 48 instead of 46.
Also as they are messing up half the EPG makes little sense they're not tidying up the latter half too.
Be nicer and more tolerant to each other. Them's the rules.
So 24 is going to be blank for everyone except for viewers in Scotland.
I still think they should have rejigged the EPG to have all local channels from Channel 6-10 so the numbers from 11 onwards are the same for the whole UK and it saves this mess they are creating. Having local channels dotted around so some channel numbers are different channel numbers depending on region or not used at all is silly to me.

Which BBC channel will not survive the next wave of cuts?
Challenge gets 47, so I don't think Sky are going to be interested in letting Channel 4 jump ahead of them and their own struggling channel drops two EPG slots down.

The BBC Scotland channel, I assume.
EDIT: or BBC Four.

It is C4 though who take 46 for Film4+1 so Challenge and 4Seven could stay put and Film4+1 go from 45 to 48, which is still the same page of the EPG.
