There’s a video on the Lunchtime with Laurence Facebook page where he talks about leaving the BBC , he’s been at Radio Cornwall since 1988, when he started out as the East Cornwall reporter based at Liskeard . In 1993, he became a presenter and is one of the longest tenured people still at Radio Cornwall. Only Assistant Editor Daphne Skinnard has been there longer, if my memory is correct.

I thought she left last year! She hasn't been on screen in a long time.

I don't think she has been well.
Ready for my close up ...well my vocal folds are. After months of speech therapy I’d quite like my voice back please? @nottmhospitals #Nasendoscopy doing their best to make it happen. Thank you ❤️ pic.twitter.com/m05nJvGwwm

Assume he took the redundancy as well.
In other news - after 23 remarkable years I’m leaving the BBC. It’s been an honour to present & report on such a huge variety of stories. I’ll miss my @BBCLookNorth family & my viewer pals. But it’s time for new challenges. I’m going to freelance, so get in touch if you need me! pic.twitter.com/SPmbNmySsB

That’s a shame. I’ve always rated Charlotte and found her very personable and natural on screen. When Christa Ackroyd left, I thought she’d have been a good replacement, as she had a very good rapport with Harry Gration on the occasions she co-presented with him.
