Wow, that actually looks amazing. I wonder if they experimented with the blocks having the actual colours?
It appears they have a new ident on Netflix, using a modern interpretation of the original blocks:

That's been uploaded to the Channel 4 commissioning site for a while now.

It's probably because I'm sick to death of hearing the acoustic guitar but that arrangement of Fourscore is quite nice.

I think it must be that they've updated all their videos with the new ident as less than a week ago there were shows that still used the 4OD ident but these shows now have the new one.

I think that one’s been used on Netflix for a few months now, since a whole bunch of Channel 4 shows made their way onto the platform at the same time.

Having looked through some of their old stuff in the thread I posted a few days ago I do think looking back towards the original concept should be the inspiration for their next rebrand. They've touched upon it in recent years with the return of FourScore and the blocks being prominent in the presentation but I think there is so much they could do by going back to basics and taking inspiration from the original concept and colour pallete.

That’s actually quite impressive, seeing as a lot of Netflix originals (as in: actual originals) still carry the old Netflix logo animation.

Goodness that's beautiful. More of that on screen would be a treat.

A very nice Ident indeed, clearly taking inspiration from the 1980s idents. I agree about this version of fourscore being lovely, but as the block man version is used on every Ident, anything different is good.
How do people feel about the block man idents?
For me I recognise the creative skill, a lot of work clearly went in to creating them, but with the repetition of the score and the scenes, I feel like they have tired a lot quicker than the floating block idents that we all loved.
