Does anybody know when Newsnight is changing studios and what’s going on?

They will be moving to 54D, the Persian TV studio, in due course

I note Newsnight's separate YouTube channel closed down yesterday, with reports going to be posted on the BBC News YouTube channel instead. Fair enough, but kinda messes up my feed now as I liked just getting the Newsnight reports sprinkled throughout my subs feed.

Guess there'll be fewer Newsnight videos now

Not seen much of 54D but it seems a pretty flexible little studio. I wonder if they'll use the sofa area or the desk and screens area?

Isn't 54D saved for the Arabic and Persian TV services? I know Persian isn't 24 hours, so that won't be an issue for them

BBC Arabic is in 34D (Newsnight's pre-election temporary location). 54D is the home of BBC Persian.

Can't help thinking that might potentially also be good for Marr, as it's sofa area has an outside window view. At least it should give Newsnight a few different options.
Jory and Alfie Mulcahy gave kudos

Four studios in a year must be some kind of record.

I was thinking that this morning. I think he'd fit quite well.

"54D" sounds more like a bra size than a studio. (The former is not exactly my area of expertise, duckie...)

Is there any humanly-comprehensible explanation for the naming convention?
