The BBC's news studios look so cold and tired, it's very weird for them to launch a brand new facility with such a dated news studio. Their new US studio shows they can be fresh and modern when they want to be. Certainly a nice wood-effect floor would be miles better than the vast cold black floor.

Tbh, the BBC needs a whole rebrand for their news.
The red colour is getting tired. I'd go back to something more serious such as blue, and add a bit of purple maybe?
Lunchtime bulletin opening taking inspiration from the UK network news & news channel, in terms of the latter half of the theme music being accompanied by a live moving camera shot of the studio environment following a truncated edit of the previous full-length title sequence's visuals.
I presume this will be the norm for most/all bulletins (or, at least the main ones) henceforth.
Probably the biggest news studio the BBC now have. Agree the desk does look somewhat lost in the wide shots but this looks like a much more flexible space they'd be able to use on election night for example.

Maybe they're ahead of the times, the wood-effect flooring was around in their sets 20 years ago.
