CCXTV's broadcast licence now owned by "Craft Channel Host Limited", previously "Ideal Shopping Direct Limited", which allowed it to launch next to Ideal World on Freeview 23.
Noticed it's started showing "Ladies of Letters" and "Bless this House"...

If it is ITV then it's certainly telling how important a slightly higher up channel position is. Going to all this effort just to push ITV4 up by (what will be) two EPG slots is quite something.

It still could still be a different company though. Some of the latest shows they're airing are sold by Fremantle (Bless This House) and Banijay (Ladies of Letters) even though they're old ITV shows.

Just to mention that Craft Channel Host Limited's sole owner is Ideal Shopping Direct Limited.

Presumably this new company set up to run CCXTV is going to be easier to sell off with it being a seperate company, which leaves the other Ideal World channels with the Ideal Shopping Direct moniker.

As London Lite points out, this legal change in licence holder enables another company to take a majority shareholding in the holding company. Should this other company be an existing Freeview broadcaster, the Digital UK common ownership rules apply, allowing that company to move another of its channels to 23.

What was The Community Channel and A+E Networks UK used this particular method to get Blaze on channel 63, when the licence for Community Channel was transferred to a subsidiary. Normal Community Channel programmes were changed and the channel became 'TCC'. A+E Networks then took the majority shareholding and swapped the channels around.

However, I would expect with CCXTV that another company will temporarily take a majority shareholding and take control of channel 23, moving CCXTV to one of its other Freeview numbers. Providing the new Freeview number is higher ranking than Create & Craft's current number, then the shareholding could then reduce, Ideal Shopping Direct becomes the main shareholder, and CCXTV swaps with Create and Craft. Once that's done CCXTV can close.

Complex, but the only way around current Freeview channel allocation rules should Ideal World be wanting to monetise the value of channel 23.
