Three Time is now across Friday – Wednesday… After the suspension due to I May Destroy You and Staged.
Wait, I thought Three Time was only on Mondays-Wednesdays? Was there a BBC Three show prior?

I wonder what presentation is planned for Christmas? Something sufficiently generic or socially-distanced too, I imagine.
I suppose with another 6 months (potentially) of restrictions, the BBC will be happy that these BBC1 socially distanced idents will have provided value for money.

I think they'll probably go for something more cheerful.

Makes sense as I think they'd want their viewers to see something uplifting and happy despite the absolute train wreck of a year we've seen.

Individually film isolated people hard at work on something artsy/craftsy, although it's initially unclear what they're working on.
Then reveal a 21st Century take on a traditional BBC1 Christmas symbol model, created by a diverse range of people across the UK, working on individual elements that all come together to form a cohesive whole.
...or Christmas carol singers on a black screen, you know, whatever.

Oh please no. The current Choir Singers ident is perhaps the most annoying ident in the history of TV, and that includes normal Oneness idents!
I think a Cartoon type of ident is more likely. Probably little kids longing to see Grandparents to tug on the heartstrings

I think it's almost inevitable that this year's festive idents will be along the same lines as the current lockdown ones. While an animated one would be nice, it's not too likely that'll happen this year. We may also be spared the lengthy promotional "John Lewis-style" film that we usually get, thanks to social distancing and filming restrictions etc.
To be honest, I'd be happy to take ANYTHING they offer this Christmas, after the horrible year some of us have had to endure.
