You really do need to do your research when it comes to viewing figures.... HERE and across the pond.

FOX have been thrashed during Covid. Fox have suffered BIGLY since March. A serious lack of journalism and damage caused by 'hosts' has led to its demise.

CNN has seen nothing but gains since March, often surpassing MSNBC.

CNN are the only real winners here.

FAKE News! As someone would call it. And they'd be right.

Nothing 'Newsroom' posted stands up to scrutiny. Fox News has been number 1 in news for 30 consecutive weeks this year according the official Nielson ratings

It's a phenomenon reported widely in US media reade news, Variety have commented on Fox success and profit.

No 'damage' or 'demise' its all just a fiction, so where are your sources and facts? I know who needs to do their research..

Dear Sebastian, I see you are a new member to this forum so I'll be courteous and extend a warm welcome.

Please read people's posts thoroughly and try to understand them and also conduct your research before launching into some ill-executed reply. The one in question I am replying to with calmness and courtesy, not some aggressive tirade. You do sound like an upset Trump Zipper

First and foremost I didn't claim Fox weren't #1 in the ratings, so you've embarrassed yourself there. Secondly, what I posted was factual. Read below, go calm down dear changes channels.

It is widely reported that CNN has gained BIGLY during this pandemic as viewers turn to channels who report the news, not fiction as FOX tends to do when there are non journalists at the anchor desk.

Stay Calm, Stay Safe, Do Your Research.

Well, you said "FOX have been thrashed during Covid. Fox have suffered BIGLY since March. A serious lack of journalism and damage caused by 'hosts' has led to its demise."

How can any network that's been no1 for 30 weeks be described as "Thrashed" or suffering in any way.

Maybe less patronising, and less deceit might be in order.

Patronising was my intent, 'Deceit' however was not.

FOX have taken a thrashing during this time! For goodness sake, read the articles I have posted. Sure. Fox still reigns but numbers are down as more and more people turn to networks that report the news, not pedal crap! Open you eyes.

My fellow forum member - you are not worthy of conversing with further.

In fairness, Newsroom, what you posted and linked to was factual but not as significant as you suggested in your personal summarising of those sources.

And to suggest that CNN and MSNBC aren't as biased as Fox News is, having watched all three extensively over the last few weeks, is laughable.

I have lived in the US and the UK. I have IPTV and am a self confessed 'news freak'. I consume way too much news. I stand by what I have written, though take on board what you've contributed to this discussion.

In saying that - the conversation was not about bias - it was about ratings and where viewers are going to get their news. CNN have benefitted (no, I won't use that B word again) big time. The writing is on the wall.

I'll just leave this droplet here. Sean Hannity is a 'host', he's not a journalist, he was never awarded any qualifications, he's a friend of #45, nothing more, nothing less. The JOURNALISTS at Fox News have fled.

A Fox News journalist - right ... let me think .... The closest ones I can regard as proper journalists, who have not sold their soul 100% to the Republican Party in 2020 is Chris Wallace and Bret Baier. Am I wrong?

I do love watching Fox and Friends - it is the best comedy show for anyone just waking up in the morning and feeling depressed, just switch the three idiots on and you are laughing within minutes at their hypocrisy and stupidity, along with constant lick lick, fawn fawn of President Trump who seems to have a dedicated phone line to their studio.

Greg Gutfeld who is part of the revolting "The Five" program is a pure out and out fake. Penn Jillette from Penn and Teller said he knows Greg, and knows the version of Greg shown on "The Five" is an act, a persona, and he knows Greg is simply putting on the right wing BS for his large pay check which currently stands at $7 million from Fox News.

I suppose it makes Gutfeld an actor/performer?

As for F&F, the two male presenters have been performing the same act for over 20 years of which Doocy's son is also a reporter on the channel (a nice bit of nepotism in the mix), while the weekend presenters are just as excruciating.

Your argument is nonsense.

Why do you think #45 won’t appear on either channel?

Both channels report NEWS, not pedal crap! FOX news as defined by many many studies is #45’s soapbox. If you view CNN and MSNBC as bias you are seriously misinformed.

MSNBC in particular is biased towards the Democratic Party. If you can't see beyond your own political bias, then what's the point?

I’m not sure you warrant a response either, BUT, the channel you mention reports NEWS. Fox does not!

Swallow it, but don’t choke!

Let’s not get into politics here.

Obviously personal bias will change your perspective on things, but the general consensus is that channels such as CNN and MSNBC cater to a more ‘liberal’ (in US terms)/Democrat audience, whilst Fox News caters to a more ‘conservative’/Republican audience. Of course, there are presenters on both (e.g. Chris Wallace) who do seem to be a little more balanced.

Also depends on the show - ‘MSNBC Live’ (essentially a rolling news show) is seen as more balanced than ‘The Rachel Maddow Show’.
