I don't think there was much broadcast kit other than a couple of cameras and mics, and I think something like a Canobeam to link back to either the IBC or Lund Point.

Ros Atkins seems to be under the impression there are no mics, the way he's yelling at the guests during that WHYS clip!

Gosh, here's a blast from the past courtesy of the former continuity announcer Reg Sanders:

Considering the reputation that Moira has on this forum I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned anywhere

Blast from the past on the Lunchtime East Midlands Today. They were interviewing a couple who had just arrived back in the UK, and it happened to be ex-EMT presenter and journalist Janet Mayo, who's now an Artist. No mention of her previous role during interview, but according to her linked in page, she retired from the industry in 2004, so maybe not a huge shock.

Her linked in page says she was the voice of the Central Line on the London Underground as well!

Spotted an interesting video from 2001, at the time of the IRA bomb outside TVC. It's a Sunday 10 with Sarah Montague presenting (how regularly did that happen?) but what's also interesting is the studio. I thought it was N6 just with a different backdrop, but looking at the wide at 6:25, could it be TC7's Breakfast set?

This was talked about lately in the BBC News presenter count thread (although I don't blame you for missing it), with quite a lot of added context.

Yep, from 2000-2006 then 2008-2012. 2006-2008 they shared N6 with the bulletins.

“Don’t blame you for missing it”?

Yes.
And that was TC7, in the Jeremy Bowen named 'Dentist Waiting Room Chic' era of the programme..

Ah sorry - I'm not a fan of the rota / counting threads. Much more a presentation fan... but thanks for pointing out!

It's hardly the most exciting thread topic if you're not into that kind of thing, that's all.
