Have you seen how BBC One basically ripped up their schedule for Talking Heads about 3-4 weeks ago? It’ll be like that, permanently.
Still means that they'll have to find things on the other days although I'm sure they'll just have cutdown reversions of factual or lifestyle shows to fill the gaps.

According to Wikipedia, the only other country Holby airs in is Finland. But broadcaster YLE is taxpayer funded, and the episodes are unedited, as there's no commercials.

I notice Google Translate translates it to
"Holby City Hospital: Worldwide popular hospital series"
Maybe it does air in other countries as well. Or maybe YLE are stretching the truth about the word 'worldwide'.

Weird - there was a US version on their version of Comedy Central two years ago that never got a second season. Yet The CW thinks it's a good idea to import the UK's season 8? I assume they bought it in as Coronavirus filler, as the shows that usually fill their schedule were of course delayed, but I think it was an odd decision to buy in something that's already failed once there. It'll be interesting to see how well that does for them.

It didn't do well but it was an American version so can't really be used as an indication of how well the imported one will do. I don't know if you saw it but it wasn't as good, Reggie Watts wasn't a great choice and it was an American half hour so squeezed for time and a bit rushed. It lost a lot of the soul, humour and 'banter' that the UK version has:

It will be interesting to see how it goes as I can't think of any other British TV show that's been shown in prime time on a commercial US network (loads on PBS of course). Needs must I suppose but it might well lead to more imports if they gain some confidence that their audiences are open to foreign shows
