Then every year (with the exception of 1979 when Kenneth Kendall did the last bulletin of the 1970's), Richard Baker did every New Years Eve up to his retirement on New Years Eve 1982.

Random thought: Peter Woods and his (later revealed) son are the only parent/child to both present the main news bulletins on UK television, unless someone can correct me otherwise.

Chris and Rebecca Lowe I know did it too, but one of them was a news presenter and the other a sports presenter, I believe.

And I’m not counting the Dimblebot clan, as that wasn’t strictly news.

Paul and Rachel Burden is another example... or Michael and Roland Buerk (Roland read
channel 5 news sometimes) if we are counting the weekend bulletins into it and breakfast news....
