Was pretty much a one series wonder that continued another few years and eventually had an underwhelming revival series.

I liked it, but it wasn't as good after the first season. I think the Writers Strike of 2007 damaged it.

Sky’s Redknapp Weekend Warm Up series has been postponed until 2021. It was originally due to record in the spring and was pushed back to August before the latest postponement.

I like how RTE are trying to blame the pandemic, when we all knew this programme was on its knees already. The 2020 series aired, but it was expected in 2019 that the 2020 series would not happen, due to severe cost cutting at RTE, making it harder for them to produce the show and pay the large fee for using the format to BBC Studios. No surprise at all that it has been axed.

Millionaire is back filming. Apparently contestants will get two Phone a Friend lifelines to make up for no Ask the Audience. Because of the lack of audience recordings, I’ve no idea how many episodes they’re filming.

Looks like they’ve they’ve tweaked the set to account for no audience. Looks quite nice:

To be honest ask the audience is the lifeline id find the most useful as the vast majority of the time the correct answer gets the highest percentage, however with phone a friend its completely by luck if they know the answer. Same as ask the host.

But under the circumstances there isn't a lot more they can do.

To be honest Ask The Audience usually ceases to be useful after a certain level. More often than not the audience just go for the answer that seems the most likely. If there is one answer that gets 40% the next highest one is 25% and the other two are much lower, chances are the second highest is the most likely to be correct because the 40% have just gone for the most obvious and the 25% are the ones that actually know.

I guess that means they can fit an episode of that and EastEnders into a 60 minute slot, therefore avoiding non-half hour start times for other shows on the schedule.
