Yes, it just looks cheap.

I wasn't a fan of the old ' mate ' workmark either, it dated rather quickly. If they reduced the stretching on the new wordmark it wouldn't look so bad, but currently it feels cheap.

Also in Australia 10 are adding a third multi-channel after Peach and Bold (previously 11 and One), with 10 Shake aimed at under 40s and making use of Viacom content in the evenings, with pre-6pm mainly being kids shows.

10 has been lacking in the multi-channel stakes for many years with 9 now having Go, Gem, Life and the recently launched Rush and Seven having 7Two, Mate, Flix and the now closed 7Food, which they replaced with a HD stream of 7Mate.

Sometimes I forget that Viacom owns Network 10. Still though, at least there's no "10 USA" or "10STAR" yet.

I’m well within the target audience for the post-6pm Shake lineup, and I have to say two things.

1) Having the same name for the kids programming and more adult content is just strange. 10/Viacom also trademarked 10 Jamm a few weeks ago. Even if they couldn’t get two separate channels for both sets of content, using different names could be better.
2) Great selection of shows, the Comedy Central stuff and BoJack in particular seem perfect for the target market, and great to see it FTA too. Shame about the MTV shows.
3) That trailer undersells it. It’s cringeworthy, and carries the smell of a marketing agency’s conference room. Gen Z and millennials prefer more natural advertising, instead of everything being in your face and dumbed down in a misguided attempt to reach a youth audience.

Australian TV promos tend to be very in your face, not completely unlike the US

The name reminds me of Milkshake! for some reason.

What do you expect? They are owned by the same company. C5 even had a block called “Shake” in the early 2000’s.

Yeah, I knew that.

I noticed that NBC began using 6-colour dots on the endboards since May or June. Is the new style consistence with Peacock?

The current Divorce Court set has moved away from looking like a traditional court room.
