Someone on DS has posted that the early bill episodes have appeared on UKTV Play on Sky. Not there on Virgin though, they only have the catchup of the last month's worth of W episodes (but no catchup for the Drama ones).

The Taskmaster thread has been archived so this is probably the next best place.

Taskmaster is to be shown in the US starting in August. Not an American version, nor on some cable channel but on The CW Network

UKTV Play have released their next batch of Bill episodes, listed as Series 7, but actually episodes from May 1991 through to April 1992.

This post was made months ago, but I only just spotted it now, one of the actors on The Bill appeared on The Bill podcast and claimed the reason Drama skipped ahead 10 years was because there was issues over repeat fees for the actors:

I never understood their "viewer demand" explanation, considering how episodes were pulled after already being scheduled, a matter of days before they were due to be shown, and as the UKTV Play releases have shown, they had already edited 40 episodes of series 5 for broadcast. This explanation seems more likely to explain the last minute pulling of the episodes to me.

Yes - though the UK BBC PSBs - BBC One, BBC Two, CBBC, CBeebies/BBC Four - will remain with Red Bee as they are not BBC Studios channels. So Red Bee still have BBC PSBs, ITV, C4 and I think C5, along with BT Sport and quite a few others?

The channels that are leaving Red Bee are the UKTV channels that BBC Studios now own outright.

Also part of the same deal, the international BBC Studios-run channels like BBC Brit, BBC Knowledge, BBC First, BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge etc. that were previously handled by Globecast are moving to SES.

I wonder how much of SES getting the contract is because they have a presence in the EU? Makes licensing of the channels that broadcast only outside the UK easier from next year

I don't see BBC World News mentioned so presumably that is staying at Red Bee

That is correct, that contract renewed at the same time as the domestic PSBs.

There's also BBC Persian and BBC Arabic which very recently started coming from Red Bee.

Will this directly affect continuity? If so, can we hope to see an end to incorrect announcements before programmes - such as the one just gone out on GOLD? 'And now, another Only Fools' into an episode of 'Bottom'.

Or the several weeks Drama were promoting Peak Practice with a photo of Father Brown.

That's more a mistake from Media Planning rather than playout. It's sometimes difficult to spot if you're working blindly, i.e. can't preview in real time-situ of how it would look.
