You also have all the fonts (some custom and some generic) used for Sky Sports and you have quite a wide mix.

I think some of those fonts are sample text from a PDF file

Speaking of the Sports fonts, a while back, I discovered that they were apparently embedded on the website.

Maybe you already know this, maybe you don't, but here's a screenshot using the F1 cut as an example regardless.

Speaking of the Sports fonts, they're actually embedded in the website!

There's some interesting stuff about the font face here (it's called Sky Sports Display, btw). https://the-dots.com/projects/sky-sports-rebrand-214806

Like J. Lyric mentioned, the font is embedded, which means the more technically inclined among us could theoretically hack the source code and download the font.

Mods - not at all endorsing this, just discussing it from a technical point of view. For many custom fonts, like BBC Reith, unauthorised use is against the typeface’s terms of use.

Yes, indeed - and with any kind of custom font I manage to get my hands on, I try and suggest others to use it properly and carefully.

Especially avoiding releasing it to the public.

Absolutely. Definitely not sensible due to the licensing implications. Whilst I'm lucky to have access to the fonts as part of my job, I never use them for any non-work related things.

Speaking of the Sky Sports Display and Sky Text fonts, NBCSN here in the US also uses these for their Premier League graphics (helps that NBC and Sky are owned by Comcast).

Sky Nature has quickly become the UK's most popular nature channel.

The latest viewing shares:

Sky Nature 0.09
Animal Planet 0.07
Nat Geo WILD 0.04
Eden 0.03

I think it helps that it's also on NOW TV which has boosted their share slightly.

What I like about Sky Nature is it does what it says on the tin, nature documentaries. None of the reality nonsense you may see on Animal Planet or Nat Geo Wild when viewers just want to see wildlife in action as visual wallpaper.

People like channels that give it to you straight, apparently.

So today is supposed to be the launch day of the newest addition to the Sky Cinema family, Sky Cinema Animation.
Though it's not appeared on the guide yet

EDIT: Channel is now on the guide and on the air, it's on channel 305 and has replaced Premiere +1

Sky Cinema Animation also on all NOW TV platforms, and on BTTV. BTTV EPG was a mess following NOWTV's addition, now even moreso.

For those who are interested, (according to this article: https://www.digitalfernsehen.de/news/medien-news/maerkte/neue-logos-bei-sky-558988/) the German Sky Sports News will relaunch this Wednesday with the new long awaited logo style alluded to here in this thread. Would be interesting as this could happen before the UK version. Maybe I will try to upload caps as the livestream is of course geo-blocked.
