I notice Reporting Scotland has ditched presenting most of the programme standing up from the second part of the set, and is now being presented only from behind the desk. Anyone know if this is permanent or a temporary change?

It's as if there is a need to simplify the way the programme is presented.

You can have all the good intentions in the world but a global pandemic leading to significantly less people working on these programmes will have *some* effect.
They always start a refresh with good intentions but then go back to the old tried and tested news presenter sitting at the desk. Hopefully they’ll turn the red elements blue again next.

The BBC Scotland "Edinburgh newsroom" is a DTL position I've not seen before. Looked a bit bleak on Politics Scotland earlier:
Looked slightly better on lunchtime Reporting Scotland, but still 'meh':
You think they would've taken away the packing boxes and 'not in use' signs down in the background just for the duration of the live shots.

It looks like the same space as the old Holyrood Live set, though it's had a wee bit of a lick of paint since this 2007 clip:
I think it's in the Tun - ie the main Edinburgh newsroom. The DTL camera you normally see is on the mezzanine floor of that building. The Parliament building has its own small newsroom and DTL position.

Oh yeah, the silhouette on the glass in the background is the same. Didn't recognise it at all, they must've rejigged the space a bit.

Andrew Kerr hosted politics Scotland today and said the headlines in the 1 but catrina was presenting from the headlines mid way through the 1.

I’m not sure if he ever has, maybe someone else on here will be able to tell you, he sometimes does political shows. And then today he read the headlines in the intro to the 1 but didn’t do the show.
Did Andrew Kerr present reporting Scotland bulletins in the past.
