Now he will be giving the comment section (concluding of himself, him and nothing but himself) a running commentary on the view count!

I really don't understand the people who upload videos from TV Ark and the likes to Youtube.

Oh yes, I vaguely recall BBC Choice News at Ten. Can't remember too much about it now, though. Think there might have been broad regional variations - the one featured in the video is obviously Wales. I seem to remember there was also a similar sort of bulletin called BBC 2W News & Sport which used another variation of David Lowe's music.

From that clip I found this clip, from the day BBC News went widescreen. 'You're watching Wales Today in widescreen' - I wonder if that bit went out only on digital?

I was looking through my YouTube uploads and found a camera-recorded version of this clip, which I'm guessing was uploaded by a TV Forumer and then I decided to upload it to YouTube to make it easier to share. Anyway, I'd forgotten it entirely, but it's Jon Sopel and Emily Maitlis having a fit of the giggles one afternoon from Christmas 2011:

Those were the days. Maitlis and Sopel. Great pairing.

Getting a fit of the giggles when you’re trying to read a serious headline must be a nightmare. Jon did well to take over.
Somewhere around the same time, there was the famous shot of Soapy being punched live on air (twice) by Babita Sharma, who was then a Business Correspondent.
And, Maryam Moshiri putting him firmly in his place when he was dawdling over a topic rather than reading the next link. All in good humour, I hasten to add.
