I don’t think there should be a UK version of the Paramount Network it’s not Channel 5y in anyway logo, style etc

You don't seem to like very much do you? Would you be happy if we just shut TV down altogether?

I was surprised that Can't Pay was on BOTH 5Star and Paramount Network at different stages and on at same time.... on one it was series 3 the other series 5....

and irony its on tonight on Channel 5 from 5.20pm... series 5....

The odd thing is that they haven't made new episodes of Can't Pay in two years.

Not that I follow these type of shows if I am honest but i'll expect incoming the benefits shows will be heading back onto Channel 5.

I also seen an ad on MTV for something called "extraordinary season" a programme called "I'm 20 but I Look 60", just looking it up (again)... seems like this is another Channel 5 programme, so thats MTV getting the Channel 5 shows in rotation... Rich Kids Go Skint is another, MTV might as well just get the benefit programming added to their schedule...

Maybe throwing something else here out the window....but.... what is the whole point of 5Select then? If the repeats of repeats are now on the sister stations it doesn't exactly leave this channel much to run on per se?, I am sure even that channel at one point was running with benefits/can't pay stuff on it too.

I don't know if it was mentioned (probably has) but spotted Aldi: Secrets of the Billion Dollar Discounter --- go to My5 on site... same pic of blue Aldi basket but its called .... you guessed it... Inside Aldi: Britains Biggest Discounter (!)... Now surely a even a bit of common sense would be you would REMOVE the one and highlight lets just say "new/repeat whatever" but good on Channel 5/My5 you keep both up! Also if you go to the About on both shows its the same... "Exploring how the German supermarket has swept the UK"

I actually watched the Aldi doc, to me it seemed pretty obviously a repackaged cheap show (probably only because I know they have form for this) but to be fair to C5, they had updated it quite a bit with lots of references to the pandemic and interviews with industry experts about Aldi's response and how their business model was well suited to responding well.

So why rename the same programme? I understand having an update but really they could have just kept it the same name.... its like saying ITV running Neighbours From Hell but since its a repeat we'll call it Neighbours From Hell (2000), I know programmes get repeated but whats the point in renaming adding a few bits and bobs to go with another name....

I am surprised with the times they have had any of the benefits shows on that they haven't been renamed something else? May as well ask this then when Channel 5 was running under Desmond fair enough they repeated shows but I am unaware of programming being renamed it just seems ever since Viacom took over this seems to be more of a new habit (correct me if I am wrong)

The irony that all this thread seems to do is rehash the same discussion about Channel 5 rehashing the same programmes.

Well this observation is a rehash. It's already been noted on the thread. Seems it's all going full circle. Very Happy

So we can enjoy awful made-for-TV films, but in HD?

You don't have to watch them if you don't want to. Pick any one of the other sixteen million programmes on offer or on-demand or whatever to watch instead.

DVBoy really needs to up his game though on changing the thread title.

Doesn't it just expose the nonsense of Viacom, rehashing the same crap on Channel 5 - it never changes.
