It reminds me that Look-In's issue numbers always used to return to one every January, so the last issue of the year would be No 52 and the following week's was No 1. Used to totally baffle me.

Take a Break and all their associated spin off titles still do that to this day!

ITV2 to show Love Island Australia to fill the gap in the schedule this summer.

Be interesting to see when they schedule it - it's gone out over here before but at 11pm - I think one series was on ITVbe.

So does it's rival, Chat.

We'll be seeing that episode on Drama in the next few weeks.

It’s an odd way to trail it. “How is Nigel going to get out of this one...oh...”

And, funnily enough, Chat was originally produced by ITV Publications, like Look-In and the TV Times.

Pretty sure both Australian series have aired on ITVBe, around 11pm.

Always striked me as strange that they didn’t air this on ITV2, keeping all the Love Island content on 1 channel. It would surely help bulk up the ITV2 content to have aired this around 10pm once our version is finished for the summer.

That's actually the correct way to number periodicals. They traditionally have a Volume number (which is the number of years it has been published) and an Issue number (the number of times it has been published that year).

Would likely be repetitive to have one series of Love Island immediately be followed by a foreign version though.

And here's the trailer for it, followed by Dean Gaffney in the broom cupboard introducing Neighbours.

I was wondering what the weird backwards 3 was in the logo for, but I’m assuming it was something to do with the show recently going 3 nights a week?

The EastEnders episode number count thing is odd. According to this page on an EastEnders fan wiki - yes, I know, but it looks to be correct - the episode numbers have been reset three times.

Firstly when they went to three episodes a week in 1994, but they still celebrated the ‘41st episode’ as being the 1000th episode.

Secondly when they went to four episodes a week in 2001, and so they celebrated the ‘1000th episode’ again in 2006.

And apparently they were reset for a third time in 2009, when they decided to retroactively renumber all previous episodes to have consecutive counting!

I wonder where UKTV's numbering, which resets at the start of each April, comes from? By their numbering, today's Drama episodes were Series 10, episodes 95 and 96 (24th Feb & 1st March 1994). Actual episode numbers 947 and 948.

It appears to correspond roughly with the financial year. At a guess, may have been sold to third parties in that formation?
