And what's sad is that due to the breaking news, CNN was forced to cancel its Sesame Street Town Hall.

It wasn't canceled but merely postponed a week

Still, this was something a lot of kids and parents were looking forward to and it's unfortunate that events have overtaken it. Even an MSNBC special on Covid-19 and AAs slated to air last night had vacated its originally booked timeslot.

On another note, Early Start seems to be back in its original timeslot today, though it's still one hour and for some reason, the weather bar features US cities only complete in Fahrenheit temperatures. The timepiece is now back to US times rather than GMT/CET. Why could they include these CNN/I on-screen on weekends but not so much weekday mornings?

If he runs New York like he runs CNN, they’re screwed.

Due to all the news that's happening, I don't think there will even be a brief mention today that CNN is celebrating its ruby anniversary. Then again, what better way to show how far they have gone then by...reporting the news:

Early Start is only one hour because CNN deem 'New Day' important enough to bring on air an hour early. Same happened with New Day Weekend. CNNi lost an hour.

CNNI broke away from a simulcast around 7.15pm for Amanpour which it then ran for a full hour before Christiane handed back to Newsroom "in progress" just now.

It may just be the fact the schedule template has not been updated properly, but if you look at CNNI's Asian schedule https://edition.cnn.com/tv/schedule/asia/index.html and change the date to Mon/Tue/Wed next week, then it looks like normal programming may be resuming from next week. Hala Gorani, The Brief, YWT all look to be returning from next week.

So I am feeling optimistic, but also aware that it may just be they are using an old template and haven't updated it yet! Smile

In their second hour on the air, they gave their viewers a behind-the-scenes tour:

Bernie Shaw came back on Erin Burnett's show. Though I presume he was booked to reflect on CNN's four decades on air, he answered more questions though on current events.

Thought CNNi were going back to normal schedule today as they were putting out trailers for First Move this morning but they have pre-empted it for further US simulcasting.

Don't blame them for doing this as it's a huge story but it does mean there is little else covered, some international headlines in the breaks, instead of trailers, would be nice.
