DTL guest Lord Sumption giving Mishal Husain a rather awkward time right now on World News, referring to her as “people like you”. (In reference to personal choices to ignore pandemic restrictions).

Mishal is ubercool. Handled it wonderfully.

Nobody undermines the fantastic Mishal.

BBC aren't bothering to show the slides during the Downing Street Briefing, which makes some it incomprehensible. Sad

Anyone know whether Sky showed them?
It seems to be there are two feeds supplied to the broadcasters. One is the cameras, the other the PC that runs the slide show and Zoom stuff, so it's up to the broadcaster to switch between the two (Assuming the PC feed is present!)

Edit. Sky are showing the slides, so a Beeb cock up (probably)

Winding back the Sky News feed, they did show at least the first slide.
Sky did report Zoom fell over prior to 4pm so that's why the conference had been pushed back to 4:30.

The language used by some political figures now in referring to journalists they do not agree with is getting increasingly concerning.

I wonder how Piers would have reacted.

With quiet dignity I'm sure. Very Happy

The Scottish Government presser also had issues with Zoom. Five of the eight selected journalists could only get through.

And here's the full programme from that day. Jump to 1:26:34 for the literal fight between two cats.
