Any news on how the non soap shows that are displacing the soaps in some slots at the moment are doing in the ratings?
If the soaps do run out of episodes completely it might make sense to replace the 7pm-8pm hour with the same drama repeat stripped across the week. For example they are currently displacing an hour long Emmerdale with Doc Martin on Tuesdays 7pm-8pm. There should be enough half hour shows to run 8pm-9pm with a mixture of repeats and non repeats.

They can't strip a drama across a week as Tonight airs at 1930 on Thursdays and it doesn't do well enough to justify moving to the 8pm hour.

Also few dramas are suitable for 7pm, and they are already often stripping dramas at 9pm, so you’d end up with only the 8am hour differing from one day to the next.
I still think they should air some Emmerdale and Corrie related programming if the episodes run out, either compilation shows or old episodes.

No they're not. It's Thursday that had an hour of Emmerdale, not Tuesday. The second half of that timeslot was Dr Ranj: On Call until March 24. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but that was removed from the schedule at the same time as the Tuesday Emmerdale episode.

No the late night repeats get a separate overnight and consolidated rating. Some of them have been timeshifting quite a bit actually. The Quiz press release said the first episode had over 1 million for the late night repeat, whereas the overnight was only about 300k.

From April or May to August the last few years its been a double Emmerdale on Tuesdays as well, whether its a 1 hour 7pm to 8pm or 2 episodes 7pm and 8pm like Thursdays. The pattern of episodes we have seen since it went to 3 a week suggest that it was intended to be a double on a Tuesday. The first week of 3 a week we had 2 x 30 minute shows in the 7pm slot on Tuesday but the following week and every week onwards its been Doc Martin. I believe the first Tuesday double Emmerdale which was for Lydia and Sam's wedding. which was meant to air 7th April but aired just after Easter as we had fallen behind by then.
There are plenty of pre watershed dramas they could repeat in the 7pm-8pm window - Doc Martin, The Good Karma Hospital, The Durrells, Home Fires to name but a few. I expect they will show some Corrie related shows however if they do run out.
