Fantastic.
I still remember that in the last few years of the programme (2007-2008), it was basically a regular extended edition of World News with nothing extraordinally distiguinshable.

Still, i think that the best years for the network were from 2006-2008. Clean graphics, and excellent journalism. Just before the rebrand of 2009 they started reducing newscasts (especially at the weekends).

Fox News became a parody of itself after Obama was elected in 2008. They have descended way beyond that point since.

I'm still partial to the classic look from around 1994/1995 time. In my view, that was when CNNI was at its absolute best.

Was watching Christina Macfarlane being interviewed and noticed the bookshelf and CNN logo behind her looked similar to another shot with another correspondent.
Never realised that she is married (or engaged?) to Nick Paton Walsh!

Seems as if CNNI is airing its first pre-taped non-Covid-related magazine programme again since late March as African Voices was just on air.

Inside Africa, African Voices and Marketplace Africa have never gone off air, although unless you watch CNNI within very specific times or check the schedule, you would never know. They've been airing during weekend overnights/late evening US time when not simulcasting. Generally speaking Midnight-4amET Saturday (mixed in with non-simulcast CNN Newsroom), 10pmET-Midnight ET Saturday (although there has been some CNN Newsroom aired in this slot too), 1-2amET Sunday, 10pmET-Midnight ET Sunday. (5-9amUK Saturday, 3-5am and 5-6amUK Sunday, 3-5amUK Monday)

Looks like Early Start returns to our screens this week, according to the CNNI schedule. Just one hour, at 5pm HKT (5am ET). Presuming it's not in error. But perhaps a sign of a return to normality, hopefully they start restoring some of CNNI's regular shows as well, particularly The Brief & YWT. Even CNN Newsroom during that block would be better than the Situation Room.

It did indeed. although Christime Romans has put in almost as many hours as Blitzer over the last 3 months.
