Split from BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

I’m guessing from the lack of comment, it was only Yorkshire that got the new ident at 1pm?

That looks... weird... and awful. All that black area. If they are trying to show lots of different scenes at once there's nicer ways of doing it than that!

Yep, had the usual in London.

There's always one region that accidentally goes early, I guess?

Yorkshire jumped the gun at Christmas too!
Write that down in your copybook now.

Quite a nice way of showing a virtual Oneness. Wonder what other versions they have

I think the BBC account sign-in page uses a nice raindow background image: (you'll only see it if you're not signed in already).

Should've just jiggled that image around a bit to make it look like a shaky camera was filming it and voilà - a new ident that's about on Parr with what's gone previously.

(PS - Don't judge me, I'm not pretending I know how to do mocks...).

It is a barebones virtual concept, but I'd love to see what other new idents we'll see out of this. Ridiculous it would've took them so long, especially as this can be done in like what, 30 minutes? Take shots of mugs and then edit it together?

Still though, Oneness is something that can be better utilised in these dire times and this is a step in the right (or wrong, depending on your view of Oneness) direction.
Do you even read these?

It's not a bad take on the idea. Rainbows is probably another one. A version of the old Exercise Class ident could make a return too I suppose. The main thing is they're more appropriate, and we're used to rough and ready by now.

I like how Yorkshire have jumped the gun again. Either they've got a pres fan there or someone who just doesn't read their emails properly Very Happy

I guess these were destined for 1st May.

TVForum: "Well they couldn't come up with anything worse than Oneness could they?"

Turns out nobody had 2020 vision.

Oh god that new ident looks downright awful!

What other idents may follow, I wonder? A shot of an empty motorway? A closed shop? Paint drying?

Just when we thought the Oneness concept couldn't possibly get any more dire.......
