At the end, it seems like they're using the old 1982 2D logo instead of the 2015 slim version but what's really the difference anyway, no casual viewer is going to care at the end of the day.

The '2015 slim version'.... what?

The blocks were thinned down - the slim version.

I thought the 'fattened up' the logo back to the 1982 version a couple of years ago? Cetainly the DOG is fatter than it was after the 2015 rebrand?

Talking of the 1982 logo Al Murray was wearing it during Countdown yesterday.

The launching of this trailer would also explain why E4 were trying to get some reference to bums into every continuity announcement script yesterday evening. Certainly a bit more of a quirky and creative angle than many of the other channels have taken with their continuity during this (I'm considering starting a drinking game with the Dave pre-records every time they mention the same 'as you're all now at home' line Wink ).

Channel 4 have just aired an All4 trailer for programmes such as "SAS: Who Stays At Home Wins", "Come Dine with Myself" and "Stayed in Chelsea". Are these real programmes or am I just being gullible again?

You're not being gullible, they're real programmes... kind of. They've just had their titles edited to mention staying at home.

They're empathising that people should stay at home hence the creative scripting. A bit like how they deliberately got 'The Simpsons' wrong..

These are brilliant! They remind me of the 90s circle era short idents that featured the stars of the channel. Changing continuity to a similar style as back And using these into programmes would drill the message home and stop the use of idents featuring social gathering.

Also the sight of those old idents around the Simpson’s continuity brings back lovely memories.

They’re OK, but why do they insist on using that same sound effect of birds chirping in every one?

Joe
Why not?

It gets your attention if you’re looking away from the screen. It suggests peace and quiet. It is a juxtaposition from what these personalities normally do on screen.

There's a bit further down about E4 having projects postponed or cancelled. I know of one new big E4 reality show made in my building that's been completely scrapped. I actually think that's pretty much it for new shows on E4 now. None of their new shows have rated at all over the last few years. New sitcom Maxxx got a measly 50k on Thursday. It's just not a channel people want to watch any more. I can see it having new Made in Chelsea, perhaps Celebs Go Dating and then the rest of the schedule will just be repeats and cheaper acquisitions.

And I'm pretty sure More4's recentish originals strategy will be down the toilet too.

E4 have already pulled Maxxx after one episode it seems. The complete series was on All 4 but that's also been pulled
