Looking at the details on that VT Clock, would it be the One Show's facilities at BH rather than BBC News that were involved?

I don't know what bit of it suggests that

Quote:
Of course where it was edited and where it was played out are entirely different matters.

Yes, and there are two locations on the clock, one part of the clock itself and the other typed in as part of the details about this specific edit. So looks like it was edited at TV Centre which is quite pleasing

The bit about BBC Factual (rather than BBC News) and the address of an edit suite at BH being on the slate.

It was a BBC Studios Factual production, and presumably post-ed by The Media Hub who are their in house post production team based at Television Centre, but perhaps played out from BH.

How come BBC2 didn’t show it? Might as well have done with the other 4 ‘main’ channels doing so

True. Didn't harm the overnight ratings for the excellent Race Across the World at 8pm last night, though.

The stand out there for me is the C4 rating, especially as they weren't showing anything of particular note at 8pm (a documentary callled Secrets of Egypts Valley of the Kings). I did end up watching the speech on C4+1 after Race Across the World.

I suspect the ratings for the first 5 mins were possibly very low though ?

“Yeah it’s sad that Sharon has got coronavirus, but to be fair she’s **** on the checkouts at Tesco”

The difference here is Sharon will have to spend 6 hours laying in a hospital corridor because she works on a Tesco checkout and isnt the PM.

With respect people with Covid aren’t ‘laying in corridors’ - if you think the NHS would do that you’re deluded, misinformed or read the DM (or all three). People are trying their hardest to cope with an influx that isn’t planned for in any great detail

Well true, all it takes to temporarily ease the regular day to day strain of the NHS, brought upon by years and years of austerity, is a pandemic.

They were probably watching their news bulletin that preceeded it.

I know we were, in fact I think I've watched more channel 4 news recently not because it's a good bulletin (it is) more that its just on at a good time

Interesting to note BBC Wales are not taking today's afternoon briefing until 16.30, some 45 mins after it starts. They are opting to air episodes of 'Money for Nothing' and 'Night Force' instead.
