It's quite unfortunate. Hope she recovers soon.

Anderson is taking over her first hour today. Jake's show has been extended to start an hour earlier today as well.

Chris Cuomo's ordeal in dealing with Coronavirus has not been pleasant. He said in an interview with Anderson Cooper a few nights ago that he has suffered things like a high fever, lack of sleep, serious weight loss & hallucinations while sleeping. He said he lost about 13lbs of weight within 3 days of this virus & he has kept eating & drinking fluids to keep it up. He remarks upon seeing his late father & his brother while he is hallucinating in his sleep. Has he given any update on his own condition on his show tonight?

I wish him a speedy recovery, but I think any sleep expert will say that what he is actually experiencing are very vivid dreams by going into a deep state of REM (Rapid Eye Movement, rather than the popular beat combo), caused by the virus, rather than actual hallucinations.

Appearing less on TV and press conferences might help him.

On a different note, who in CNN's political teams are the equivalent of Vicky Young and Laura Kuenssberg? Who is Dana Bash more like among those two?

I didn't manage to capture it but there was a nice moment at the end of Friday's CNN Newsroom when Natalie Allen shared that Friday was supposed to be her wedding day and she talked about how she has changed her plans and indeed turned up for her usual nightshift instead. It was remarkable how upbeat she was and she shared a few family photos, it was really sweet! Just watching her show, she really is one of few American anchors who can deliver the news in a genuinely international way. Her delivery strikes the right tone of positive but authoritative in this testing time for journalists.

Natalie Allen is, after all, a rare throwback to the glory days of CNN:

In which case, that makes Natalie CNNI’s longest serving anchor who’s currently still on air? Or is it Rosie?

Not consecutively. Natalie left CNN in 2001. She worked for NBC and then the Weather Channel before coming back to CNN in 2009. I think you might be right about Rosemary, though Becky and Hala joined not too long after.

Then there's Christiane, though she also took a sabbatical to ABC, and I wouldn't necessarily call her an anchor. John Defterios has been on CNNI since the early 90s and even had some stints where he was anchoring a show five days a week, though I don't he counts either.

Since it aired on Domestic you can watch here:

I thought it’s Michael since he joined in 1997.

I’m glad Natalie is spending her time at CNN/I. That network is as close as one gets to feeling CNN (domestic’s) heyday in the late 80s to early 90s.

Interestingly, Christine Romans was just introduced on John King’s show as the anchor for Early Start, which clearly means it will be back on the air (the when is a different story, though).
