Here's the original 1970s version of the theme w/ lyrics:
WPVI commissioned an updated version of the theme in 1996. It was recorded in London by members of the the London Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestra, but public reaction back in Philadelphia was so negative that it was discarded after just a few days, when the old theme was brought back.

Headlines of a newscast on a now-defunct regional station, Canal 4 Castilla y León (Spain), in 2005.
Advisory: the video includes images of bullfighting.
Canal 4 Castilla y León, which was privately-owned, used to compete with an other privately-owned regional station on the same area, Televisión Castilla y León.
These two stations eventually merged in 2009 into Radio Televisión de Castilla y León, which operates two channels nowadays (La 7 & La 8), and is jointly owned by the two former entities.
