No it isn't. Tell people ONCE, not repeat it for 20 minutes. I switched over after 10 minutes because it was just becoming a sycophantic propaganda-fest.

BBC London and South East Today have joined forces for todays bulletin during the News at one.

The BBC One ident name checked the area as "London & South East" as well as the news from Jane Hill and Chrissie Reidy. A bit of a throwback to the NSE days! Headlines covering both regions and branded the same as Breakfast with BBC London & South East on the headline straps.

Obviously, both regions have been combining for Breakfast, but this is the first time they have combined outside of this time.

Possibly. BBC London have been using static images linked to Coronavirus in recent days (shots of quiet places in London etc) so some of those might be recycled if they do pan regional.

Introduction explained that both teams were joining forces to bring the latest during the coronavirus crisis.

Not at lunchtime however which have continued to be split.

As I said at the bottom of my post, this is the first time outside of Breakfast bulletins.

Riz Lateef will be on London as normal for the main bulletin, but lunch will now be a merged bulletin in line with the Coronavirus cuts.

Makes sense given the breakfast and lunch presenter is usually one and the same person.

WBBM 2 CBS Chicago (O&O) Did a test emergency broadcast yesterday. Utilizing 4 satellite trucks set up outside the CBS 2 Broadcast Center, they produced their 5pm newscast from the pavement in the event they are forced to abandon the CBS 2 Broadcast Center in the moments notice. Makes sense to start testing the capability of the staff and anchors if this happens . So the news will continue to broadcast.
