To be honest amazed Sky Sports at least aren't reducing the channels available or looking at replacing or simulcasting some.

Other than the reported simulcasting of Sky Sports News on Main Event not sure what else they are doing. Personally I think looking at the content of Sky Movies that fits the bill and launching a temporary Sky Sports Movies in place of a channel might be an idea.

Sky Movies does not exist and hasn't done since 2016. You obviously mean Sky Cinema Wink

There are some sports movies around on Sky Cinema (not a lot but there are a few) but that's all they are - movies. Can't see The Mighty Ducks going down too well on Sky Sports for example. People are upset as it is that they've lost all the live content without having fictional depictions of sports to add to their despair as well.

Sky Sports Cinema would sound stupid though! Very Happy

BT are so fortunate to have invested in their film series. They're also re-running for the 2574th time, it seems like it, the OJ Made in America series.

Interesting. So is BBC Four (as part of Storyville)

If you’ve not seen it, it’s well worth watching.

Woudn't be any more stupid a name than some of the popup channels they've had... Sky Cinema Books for example was a recent one for World Book Day.

Well Netflix and Amazon (and soon Disney+) will be happy, since the way things are going there'll be sod all else to do. Suspect we can all burn through boxset after boxset until the cows come home...

Maybe the BBC can just re-run past Olympic coverage in its place Razz

There's books, (stock up now before the libraries and Waterstones close) , once you've read a book, you have a solution for the toilet paper shortfall. Self isolation doesn't have to mean remaining in your house. You can still drive your car into the countryside for a walk, and even without a car and/or living in an urban area, you can still go for a walk keeping your distance from others.

Edit: Just seen news that the National Trust are opening their grounds and gardens for free access to all, and waiving car parking charges

Unless I'm misremembering, BT Sport showed Fever Pitch one evening, possibly even ad-free.

Not that easy, longform Olympic Broadcast rights revert to the IOC six months after the games conclude. So there'd be money involved.
