Floella Benjamin (she of Humpty, Hamble, Jemima and the Two Teds fame) will become Dame Floella Benjamin today.

Worthy recognition of a true television and charity icon of our time. And for her tireless campaigns over the years.

When I was 11 years old, I saw on a website, (presumably Vimeo), the BBC One Canary Wharf ident with a CBBC bug peeking from the top left, as shown in the link below, then a CBeebies bug filled the entire screen and it segued into a very rare CBeebies ident. I assume it was used to introduce the revamped afternoon strand on launch day.

Just heard the original Wheel of Fortune theme tune on a Crackerjack! segment!

There was a nice special of Blue Peter today. 50 minutes long and had loads of guests and special segments. Felt a lot like the birthday show. Would love them to do more things like it in the future for other events.

I've been saying pretty much since they went once a week they should give it an almost Top Gear style revamp and give it an hour long slot.

Sport Relief special, as they do with all of the telethons.

I didn’t think there was ‘suspicions’ and the fact his Stanley voice is very similar to Otis, and the fact he appears himself in Mashup was pretty much solid evidence that he was the puppeteer!
