It has just been announced that it will be likely be announced tomorrow

I'd like to announce that tomorrow I'll be announcing that announcements about forthcoming announcements are one of my pet peeves.

Why are you announcing it then?

Not sure how a Saturday Night Takeaway could run without an audience.

They could show The Men in Brown, Get out of my Ear / Ant vs Dec, End of the Show Show & do Win the Ads via Skype?

All wrapped up in an hour.

I think if there was just one or two shows left in the series they could probably get away with doing it without an audience, make some jokes about it and make a fist of doing most of the features. But four shows is a stretch and a half.

Most other shows will probably manage OK. The likes of The Voice, any gameshows, talk shows etc can do without an audience if necessary. Question Time could be a bit stuffed although I guess again they could have questions via Skype or submitted in advance.

They could bring back Singalong Live, Read My Lips, do another Stephen Mulhern’s WAWOW

It has just been announced that it will be likely be announced tomorrow that the UK will enter the delay phase of COVID-19 - meaning large scale gatherings will be cancelled. So will this mean the above ideas will happen?

Let’s not get carried away with all the mass hysteria. From the BBC News story

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51845861

Delay is the stage where "social distancing" measures will be considered - which could include restrictions on public gatherings above a certain number of people, although this is not thought likely at this stage.

Trump's obviously an Ant and Dec fan. He's imposed a 30 day travel ban from Europe, but not including the UK

Isn't this what people wanted, something different and challenging?

How does that prevent people travelling from mainland Europe to the UK and then to the US? Unless the UK is planning similar restrictions...

I don't think it's possible to answer that without getting into political chat that's way off-topic for a pres forum.

(Actually, I could have stopped that sentence after the 8th word)

Sky Sport 24 in Italy, the Italian Sky Sports News, has closed down temporarily, replaced by a Sky TG24 stream

You might not known that Italy atm is completely quarantined, and, as of yesterday night, measures are even more stringent, with any non-secondary service to the public such as bars, closed down

Italian cities have become ghost cities

Especially affected are the "live" (often recorded) game shows and talk shows, which are all closing down, especially on Rai channels

We're going through hard times
