I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry at the quality of Samir's acting. It's terrible.

You say that, but so many people were convinced his accent was real, and were shocked to discover he wasn’t really Moroccan.

See Graham Norton’s reaction when Anne Kirkbride reveals this (4 minutes in)...

I’d watch more episodes of the modern day Graham Norton Show if they had more people like Anne Kirkbride on rather than these Hollywood stars who are of no interest to me.

Admittedly Anne Kirkbride would be quite difficult to interview now and they’d need Derek Acorah who’d they need Sally Morgan for, by which point the show would have lost all credibility and I wouldn’t want to watch in the first place. You get my point though.

Totally agree - I only usually bother with it these days when Miriam Margolyes is on it. The big name stars often tend to be quite dull, but I guess given it’s shown in a lot of different countries, the likes of British soap actors sadly aren’t what they’re looking for these days.

Yes, totally agree about Miriam the last time I watched it was when she was on. But even Miriam seems to have run out of her crazy stories.

I would agree but these days there seems to be a rule that you need to have Hollywood stars to be seen as a big show.

I’ve seen many comments on social media and other forums comparing that weeks Hollywood A list Graham Norton line up compared to that weeks Jonathan Ross mostly British line up, and ridiculing the Ross line up saying he obviously doesn’t have any money to spend on the line up and laughing at how poor it is, despite the fact the Ross line up may have resulted in better chat.

The gap between the ratings of the two shows has narrowed significantly on what it used to be, though.

I’d just like to know why the show was called Leather Trousers with Graham Norton.

Anyone else think that Christmas 1994 just "happened" with nothing really "happening ?"

All rather tame.

The moment with Curly naming a star after Raquel is probably one of the most famous Christmas episodes in the show’s history, second to 1987.

(unless I’m missing something else major)

We are getting ever nearer to the day when Julie Goodyear called it quits on Corrie.

16th October 1995.

Is that the same entrance that later became the entrance to Carla Connor's flat?

The leisure centre was basically the door to Stage One studio at the back of the viaduct. Or basically the big building behind the street with the neon Granada logo on the tower of the building.
