Series 9 of 4 O’Clock Club started today. I’ve stuck with it over the past years as it’s stayed enjoyable, but this was weak. Really weak. About 5 characters cut, 3 of which with no explanation (and which make no sense), loads of plot holes and a new cast which is lacklustre and are very bland.
Here’s hoping things get better, or I will be wishing that it finished last year.

How old are you just out of interest? I get the impression you may be out of the show's target audience.
If you're happy watching CBBC shows then that's your choice but remember: The entire output is aimed at under 11's.
I can still remember the green bugs over the BBC One balloon idents.
Not sure if both will make 20 at this rate.
CBeebies probably will, it's an international brand now after all.
CBBC on the other hand... while it won't have the recognisable factor of CBeebies (or the viewership apparently) it does effectively prop up the sector in terms of production if nothing else, and of course appears on the endcaps of internationally produced shows so... If it was going anywhere it probably would have gone by now.
Deadly 60 is returning to CBBC next week. It’s the first regular series in 8 years. CBBC is returning quite a few programmes recently. Crackerjack, obviously, Deadly 60 now and then a comedy called All at Sea, which aired from 2013-14, began repeating about 9 months ago. I wonder what other programmes they would consider bringing back?

I was talking about the channel not the brand itself. I agree the brand has value but I think in the not so distant future it will be online rather than on a channel.
This is over two months before the launches of CBeebies and the CBBC Channel, which Adrian directly mentions CBeebies, but doesn't mention the CBBC Channel by name, instead hinting at it: "There'll be
two
children's channels".
I'm aware as the weeks drew closer, the CBBC bugs kept popping up in the studio, in their own promos and even in the outgoing CBBC idents and programmes, such as this CBBC bug and the backgrounds appearing for a few seconds on the giant TV screen as Adrian's introducing Rugrats:

The CBeebies bugs also appeared during the pre-school morning slots and were eventually added to the CBBC on Choice idents, for example, the very last CBBC on Choice links:

Anybody got footage of any more pre-launch references? The transition period between the old CBBC, the split between CBeebies and the launch of the digital channels fascinates me.
