I've followed taffe316 for a while now. Great to see a North American perspective on British tv.

And he loves you back London Smile

Having watched a few of these too, it’s hardly very insightful. It’s just watching someone not really getting the humour. That doesn’t mean they aren’t enjoyable though.

As he says multiple times in his commentary during the Grant and Sharon scenes he doesn't have a clue of the back story so he feels a little lost in the story.

I didn't comment on this video, as I haven't watched it.

That's part of the charm watching this American guy watching the idiosyncrasies of British shows.

If you're expecting pres commentary, forget about it.

Really? He laughs all the time during comedy shows and I've only really seen him not get the joke if it's a particularly British reference. Occasionally there's a moment of joy when he gets a British reference because he's reacted to another show before (there was a joke about Noel Edmonds he found hilarious because he'd seen Noel's House Party and Deal or No Deal).

He needs to start editing his reactions down though because he uploads full episodes which are prone to being removed.

He's said it before that in the early days he tried that and the videos would still be removed, and that the comments would be angry that their favourite bit from the show was removed, so he stopped editing it down.

Sorry for the double post but BBC 4 is airing the 2/11/00 episode on the 19th February.

Is there any particular reason why they're showing it, is it part of a theme night or something?

I think that's the one where Peggy announces Frank's affair with Pat in front of the pub, then Frank leaves in the rain.

Don't wish to sound cold, but could it be the death of somebody (as a tribute)? As BBC Four have been repeating This Life this week as a tribute to it's executive producer.

19th February isn't exactly an unimportant date in EastEnders history. Very Happy
