I seem to recall the Nordic feed continued on cable until 2000 due to contractual obligations.
From my own collection, TCC in 1998. They didn’t even bother telling viewers that they weren’t coming back tomorrow, nor telling them to retune to Trouble which gained extra broadcasting hours as a result of TCC’s demise (as the CNBC simulcast broadcast on Trouble/Bravo was switched to Challenge TV)...

Paul Ross slagging it off when he was one of the faces of the 1999 relaunch. In fact, the set they're sitting in during that closedown is the one used for his gameshow Life's A Punt.

There is a brief clip of Live TV's closedown in this clip at 17:07

Wow! That was an abrupt closedown if ever I've seen one!

Mainly because CN+1's new feed (don't know if they reused it) had to replace CN Too's feed.

Besides, why were Cartoon Network Too/+1 (i don't know what channel) using the 2004 stings while it was 2014? Even worse, WHY WERE THEY BROADCASTING in 4:3? Its ether the recording device is 4:3 installed or Turner were broadcasting it in 4:3 themselves...
BB
No clue about the use of the old package. However, the aspect ratio would have been because of the recording device. CN Too used 4:3 for 4:3 programming, but 16:9 was broadcast as such.

Everything was 16:9 by the end. And that was a 2007 promo loop, hence the outdated presentation.

Quote:
Modern classic programming had begun to be removed from Cartoon Network Too in favor of action-adventure programming, and by 16 May 2012, all modern classic programming had been removed. The remaining 4:3 shows were converted to 16:9 as well. On 1 April 2014, Cartoon Network Too was shut down, with the final programme being broadcast was an episode of Skatoony, followed by promos of what was airing on the main Cartoon Network, then a bumper following into a clip of Cartoon Network's promotional content from 2007, which was shown incomplete as Cartoon Network +1 was relaunched into Cartoon Network Too's channel space.

I was just talking about this on Twitter recently. Despite there being only nine days between the initial announcement and the channel closing*, this was a really good farewell programme - the above is only a clip, the whole thing was a full half hour programme. It was a proper history of the channel, its successes and failures, and as you can see in the clip, they even got other journalists to talk about why it was closing.
*The channel was originally going to close after the new year, but it was decided to bring it forward so staff didn't have to work over Christmas on something that was closing anyway.
Doing an 'archive audit' and found a capture of the programme, which I am sure is of interest to everyone here
