Less than 2 weeks now. I think Thursday the 14th is when we'll get the last episode shown on Granada Plus (which was 9/2/94).
Though with ITV3 still pulling out the G+ edits periodically, I wonder if they'll show any G+ edits that G+ never did, as they'll have had some episodes in the can when they were shut down suddenly.

Closed in favour of ITV3 and the switch was done the same day IIRC. Think Plus finished and ITV3 started straight afterwards, 15 years ago today apparently.

Wasn’t the closure of Granada Plus a short notice thing? There may be edits that never made it on Granada Plus.

Plus abruptly shut down just after 4pm, ITV3 - advertised as coming to Freeview 34, NTL and Telewest only - launched at 9pm.

Not mid-morning, it was mid-afternoon. But it was half way though an episode of Pie In The Sky, it went to an advert break and never came back, just cut to a GSB logo with the Sky breakdown music loop of the time.
I always thought Plus fell off air mid morning in the middle of a programme?

There definitely will be, the question is just how many, possibly only a few days' worth, but also possibly a few weeks. I remember once G+ showed the wrong Corrie omnibus, a good 3 or 4 weeks earlier than they were supposed to, so if they had the edits done that early they could have had a fair few episodes in the can at the time they closed.

abc1 did not go off air halfway through a programme. It went off at midday 26th September 2007 and the last programme was an episode of Home Improvement that went out in full. It disappeared entirely from all platforms about 10 minutes later. There was a video on YouTube on the Sky platform but this seems to have vanished.

That’s what James implying to in his post. ITV3 and Plus were going to be ran as separate services, but ITV were desperate to get ITV3 onto Sky and getting rid of Plus at the very last minute was the way to do it. So there’s a good chance that some Plus edits were already in the can, even if it’s for altering the endcaps only.
By 2004 Plus was known as Crime Plus between Midday and 2:00am, so all the good programmes had long departed by this point. In Corrie’s case it was only being shown at 9:00am if memory serves me.
