Let's hope it turns up in Peak in HD. I know of one Ident that is only SD daytime.

EDIT when did the ident go out?

Ident went out on Thursday evening at 10pm. Will go out again tonight at 9pm.

Also, all idents are TX'd in HD.

Cheers. Alas between noon and 7pm we only have the SD feed Very Happy

"Fireworks" was launched on a Thursday to coincide with the new Emeli Sande programme. And the new "Shark" ident was launched to coincide with the new BBC Scotland drama "Guilt".

These are very classy idents. Up there with the BBC2 curve in my opinion.

I think they look very dated.

Kind of agree with you both - they are classy and they are a bit dated, but like the curve it's going back to the simple concept of an ident being an identity, not a piece of film.

How is the channel rating nowadays and is it really serving up much original content beyond The Nine which justifies it being a channel?

If anything, the still screengrabs don't really do this one justice compared to the actual video. When in motion, you can see the shark moving in front of the logo, and also see the logo move about in the water rather than just looking stuck there.

(Although it does remind me somewhat of Channel 5, who got there with that same idea about 14 years ago now, during their 'five' days!)

"Murder" in a Scottish accent never gets old.

Dated perhaps bit certainly better than Oneness
