The Parliament Live stream of the House of Commons seems to be a reasonable quality - https://parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/7a348a3e-33bd-4a4c-86fb-615559e1798f

BBC Democracy Live unfortunately died a death, a great shame because it would be more valuable than ever now. It was fairly groundbreaking in its day!

Considering that BBC Parliament on Freeview is at a dire 544x576 resolution, it hasn't stopped the channel gaining a new audience to watch the Brexit debates.

As I've said before, 'content is king'.

I've not investigated, is there a live iplayer stream available?

BBC Parliament is available on iPlayer. There isn't a dedicated HoC stream though.

Parliament itself offers live HoC and HoL streams.

A media company called Digital Tree also legitimately streams both on Twitch under license, they recently moved their 'ukparliament' channel to (unironically I think!) https://www.twitch.tv/democracylive .

They're fairly basic in presentation with the usual lower thirds, debate info, speaker info etc - however the live chat can occasionally make for a very interesting shared experience. 'democracylive' is the 'curated' channel, https://www.twitch.tv/ukcommons and https://www.twitch.tv/uklords are the dedicated ones.

I personally find it very interesting that they are streaming to twitch, a site primarily directed to video gamers (despite the large amount of non-gaming streams there) instead of youtube, for something like this i would have expected youtube to be used. But i actually seen the ukparliament twitch channel be recommended to be once and i thought it was just someone memeā€™ing/reusing copyrighted content, but it seems -retty legitimate and useful.

A very strange opening at 3pm.

The titles with the newsroom played, with the camera in the newsroom going the wrong way. It then faded to the camera in the studio panning to the standing wall position with Simon sitting at the desk and then faded over to Christian Fraser in Brussels.

Did anyone cap it?

News channel running the Newsroom Live titles at the 11am and 12pm TOTH titles rather than the generic BBC News ones which they usually use when going straight to an OB presenter.

Very clever deployment of resources. They've had Annita in the studio (with Nuala from Brussels). Then Joanna did Derbyshire on location from Westminster (Annita with the summary in the studio). Ben Brown replaced Joanna at Westminster (with Nuala & Annita). And now Ben is still at Westminster for the News at One with Joanna back in the studio.

I suspect Ben would ordinarily have been the single News at One presenter, in the studio, had it not been a 'big news day'. They've had both Annita & Joanna available with Joanna on Derbyshire and able to use both of them to get this coverage.

James Reynolds presenting the news - not seen this before. (Perhaps he has presented some other time during the small hours that I don't usually see or on BBC World.)

That's it - I'm off to bed now. Not with any disrespect, just the late hour.
(Also makes it look like I've been here for 13 hours since no-one happened to post since my last post.)

The news channel missed the start of tonight's 6, crashing into the headlines after the weather.

Reporting Scotland is getting a wee refresh .

I'm guessing that'll be to coincide with Laura Miller taking over next Monday?

Would this be better in a new thread?
