It appears to stem from this petition.
I suspect this has come off the back of ITV launching their high-profile ‘Britain Get Talking’ mental health campaign which, as many have commented on social media, seems at odds with the views expressed by their own breakfast presenter, whether belittling people with gender issues, or saying we should stop being snowflakes about mental health and ‘man up’.
(First tweet I came across, from a couple of years ago, but by no means the last time he’s rubbished mental health issues.)
What did Piers say this time for there to be a poll? There are way to many results for Piers Morgan gender views.

34 million UK adults are mentally ill? What utter nonsense.

I think the poll is just GMB getting attention for itself.

Everything about GMB at the moment tells me they care about grabbing the headlines (whether for positive or negative reasons) more than they do about putting on a genuinely high quality informative news programme.
The megaphone 'stunt' with Boris Johnson, the constant interviews with people only brought on so that they clash with Piers, the 'quirky' morons who are just there to make people tweet about how weird the interview is, e.g. the broccoli idiot yesterday, the 'should we sack Piers' poll... it's becoming the TV equivalent of The Daily Star, only with less skin on show.

Becoming? It's been like that for quite a long time. It's the Daily Mail on TV.

Good Morning Britain are verging on the edge of being desperate to get ratings. I feel there are some at Good Morning Britain (mostly Piers) who still gets sick to their stomach that the bland bore fest that is BBC Breakfast gets nearly double the ratings each day than they do, and they are throwing everything they have got at their disposal to get attention and try and boost ratings.
Good Morning Britain want to be No. 1 breakfast show on British television, and no matter what they do, they still lag behind the BBC by nearly 700,000 viewers each day.
However, these controversial interviews and tactics does keep a group of daily viewers with the programme, and this is what the advertisers want, as they want to target this audience and bring in a lot of revenue for ITV Breakfast company.
Good Morning Britain for me has slipped into a British version of Fox and Friends on the Fox News Channel - very opinionated, very argumentative, forceful and damn right rude/crude in some places, all to get more viewers and high advertising revenue.

The conflict of interest between ITV's new mental health campaign and their employing of the empathy-void that is P*ers M*rgan (in the context of the bile that he spouts) is a really serious issue.
This would be a totally unacceptable state of affairs at any time, but particularly after the Love Island and Jeremy Kyle Show situations.

I'm one of those who quite enjoyed piers way of presenting, at least its different to the BBC borefest. I agree with some of the others posts on here, about there being a change of direction recently. Everything now seems a bit scripted, gimmicky and it's starting to get annoying. In the last week we have had stupid pointless polls for headlines, medicial curtains with man flu medicine. At the start it's just seemed a bit more natural and now it feels like clickbait scripted actions to grab a quick headline.

It's not the people moaning about Piers who moan that it's boring without him. It's his supporters, who seem to think he's the greatest thing in broadcasting and journalism.
He's off now for at least a couple of weeks so the people moaning about Piers can go back to moaning about it being boring without him. Absolutely agree though it feels like the views of Piers have now become the editorial policy of the show. Has there been a change in editor?

I wonder how many British people have watched Fox and Friends? It is a great laugh, three presenters on a horrible sofa spouting pro-Trump news stories and ass kissing Mr President whenever they can.
Also Trump phones into the show a lot - can you imagine Boris Johnson phoning into Good Morning Britain at 6.45am?
The worst Trump ass kisser on Fox and Friends has to be Steve Doocy - a true slime ball who is often nicknamed Steve Douchebag by comedians.
