Supposedly, Niall Paterson's "The Early Rundown" is to come from Studio 21, so is the weekend "@Breakfast". Weekend daytimes are also apparently coming from Studio 21. Kay is to get a new set (or at the very least a new desk) at Millbank in the new year.

That means that Studio 6 will only be used for World News from 00:00-06:00 or when there is maintenance in Studio 21, and the VR area only used for pre-recorded segments.

Sounds like they've realised that it's about as dull and lifeless on screen as a BBC regional news studio.
Lets hope the similar denial over Studio21 is gotten over in the coming months.

GALLERY 21 is where all the main studio output comes from - whether Studio 6, the glass box, or Millbank.

This should not be confused with STUDIO 21, which has nothing to do with Sky News.

Niall's show will come from Studio 6, as will Stephen and Gillian's show (they'll take turns hosting the early slot on Fridays) and weekend output pre-8pm.

I am well aware that Gallery 21 is the main output gallery... and the Glass Box is referred to as Studio 21 on the router and the IDS.

And in regards to where certain shows are coming from, I'm just going on what we have been told by some of the producers and directors... although that may be the long-term plan rather than what is happening on the 14/10.

There are no plans to use the glass box for anything it isn't currently used for.

But are there any plans to use it differently? Maybe using more shots/views looking out into Sky Central?

Or they've just realised an election is coming up....

Can’t decide if it looks a million times better or worse than how they usually use it.

This is exactly what I hoped the real glass box studio would look regarding lighting and studio atmosphere.

The video simply proves how under utilised and clinical Sky use that studio for news bulletins. They have the space, but have decided to bland the hell out of it.

So, today's the last 'Kay Burley Show' before Kay starts her new morning show on 14 October.

It's an end of an era, in a way. Kay has been doing the afternoon shift for such a long time, certainly since the 2005 revamp though a bit earlier back then with Lunchtime Live. Not sure which slot she had before 2005?
