Not really, fight was cancelled on medical grounds, to be rescheduled at a later date.

Amusingly, the only reason Channel 5 were covering the event was because of that fight, which was supposed to be in Maidstone, but was moved to Bolton where another event was scheduled due to issues with the original venue. The Bolton event was supposed to be headlined by what was the headline fight in the end, with the only media coverage being a live stream to Facebook / Youtube / Twitch, so those fighters definitely got a bump in their exposure.

Who is doing the world feed for the IAAF Worlds 2019 Edition?
I know two years ago it was Sunset & Vine. As they did a fairly decent job, one assumes it's them again.

The current Doha IAAF World Championships is being host broadcast by ITN believe it or not. (Not dissing ITN - it's just that their presence in this area of production may surprise some who think of HBS, OBS, S+V and IMG as the natural host broadcast producers for these kinds of events)

ITN signed a deal a couple of years ago to be the IAAF's production partner, and there is now an IAAF productions division at ITN.

The pole vault coverage confused my dad - as they not showing all the jumps he was getting confused and going into rants.
Also I presume they is a clear BBC edict that Northern Ireland must always be mentioned whenever the British relay squad are running.

About the new graphics package for IAAF:

Quote:
The 2019 World Championships will also see a quantum leap forward in graphic production and analysis, using the combined expertise of Seiko, Hawkeye, Angular Velocity and Deltatre.

These will display the maximum speed reached by sprinters during a race, and their finishing speed, the speed of take off in long jump, triple jump and pole vault, the distance achieved in each of the three phases of the triple jump, and the speed and angle of release of the long throws.

“We’ve embraced innovation throughout the Championships, showing more behind-the-scenes footage from the moment the athletes arrive at the stadium, through their whole journey to the end of the Event – and with more than 130 cameras inside and outside the stadium, we can’t wait to broadcast these unique Championships to a prospective audience of more than a billion people,” Lord added.

Did you help to assuage the situation by predicting the downfall of western civilisation?

Also if you notice the official IAAF graphics in purple, blue, orange etc
That's because after the championships, they're rebranding the organisation as World Athletics

They revealed this back in June and agreed to it this month so expect to see the change after Doha 2019 from October.

Is that why the screens around the stadium were saying “The IAAF is changing”?

Yup

I'm expecting the new branding to appear at next year's indoor championships in Nanjing, China.
Followed by the 2021 outdoor championships in Oregon, USA

I'm sure they're only in Doha to boost the stadium crowd numbers. 😂
