I've seen them use the newsroom in the past though perhaps not that set of chairs. They seem creative with the space.

And yet, despite being in the newsroom, still looks 100% better than anything from the Norwich studio.

Plus Norwich have the wonderful public space of the Forum and St Peter Mancroft church to use as a wonderful backdrop.

It's almost like it's 2002-4 again, when the corporation had their thing of 'OBs' from various bits of their buildings. I believe Marylebone High Street, the Forum and the Mailbox were specced out with wallboxes all over the shop so the gallery could in theory take the programme or parts of the programme from different parts of their respected spaces.

Still much better than the '2008' style sets. Norwich must be due an upgrade by now? Techwise we all understand why that can't happen straight away, short of total failure/loss of site - but certainly branding/set wise it's due an upheaval. Isn't their studio a strange shape anyway that would lend itself quite well to an NBH style set?

This doesn't look like it got a mention at all. Anglia last month produced an online exclusive 45 minute magazine-style show called... what else by 'About Anglia'.

It's mostly just studio based with a couple of guests, and obviously has been done on the cheap. But definitely an interesting trial run of something that could blossom of interest to viewers and in other regions.

Though current view count is 571 which is a bit abysmal.

Great package marking Anglia's 60th anniversary all about the changing news production technology. Nice that they could replicate the locations featured in past features on the subject - not many ITV companies that can do that

Nice 60th anniversary celebration edition of ITV News Anglia this evening.

Shame it appeared Helen McDermott was snubbed although they did show a clip of her. Even made the local press here: https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/bc-birthday-club-back-on-anglia-tv-without-helen-mcdermott-1-6337357

I do recall some animosity when she left ITV Anglia; she’d been effectively dropped from the main edition of Anglia News at 6 for Clare Weller and was only presenting at weekends... and then Clare herself was made redundant for Becky Jago in 2009.

Jim Bacon was back for tonight’s celebrations too; has to be noted the weather department has had some successful talent come out of it...

Interesting that BC himself has remained tight lipped on the matter

During the introduction (around 50 seconds in), there appears to be a slight slip of the tongue, where the presenter appears to say "Anglia TV".

Worth noting that Anglia reporter Malcolm Robertson retired after 23 years on Friday. They had a farewell tribute at the end of the east edition of the programme.

Local press also reported on a reunion gathering for 60 years of Anglia Television. Nice video of Helen McDermott and Kevin Piper... real blast from the past being the regulars from around 1999.

First for BBC News last night... Look East (East) had Leigh Milner present the late bulletin from her house!
