According to TV Home, BBC South East didnβt have a v/o name checking Simon and the local presenter so they played a generic one referencing BBC 1 South East but no presenters named. Surely using the network v/o wouldβve been better?
Surely Simon does the One often enough that they would have a v/o they could butcher if they couldn't find somebody in the newsroom with a broadcastable voice to quickly record a new one?
